The Director-General of Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC Chikwe Ihekweazu has warned that Nigeria might experience a second wave of coronavirus pandemic.
Issuing this warning during a media briefing organized by the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on Monday, the DG warned that the virus was still very much around and more dangerous despite the seeming decline in active cases.
He further advised Nigerians to abide by the COVID-19 guidelines to prevent a second wave of the virus.
It will be recalled that the Lagos state commissioner for health had earlier warned that the state might return to another phase of lockdown following the increase of COVID-19 cases in the state.
