NYSC: Buhari Issues Compulsory Health Insurance For Corps Members

President Muhammadu Buhari has issued a directive to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to ensure the enrolment of corps members in the National Health Insurance Scheme.

According to the Director-General of NYSC, Shuaibu Ibrahim the annual mobilisation of over 300,000 corps members, the NYSC no doubt, “remains the most critical platform for mentoring Nigerian youths as drivers of national unity and development.”

He added, “I wish to use this opportunity to again express our gratitude to the security agencies and other stakeholders for their support. Furthermore, the scheme has concluded arrangement with the NHIS for the enrolment of corps members into the NHIS in line with a presidential directive. We have also expended huge resources on critical health needs of corps members, including footing of medical bills.”

Meanwhile, Equity News earlier reported that the NYSC call-up letter for 2020 Batch ‘B’ Prospective Corps Members is now available for printing online.

How To Print NYSC Call-Up Letter:
Go to the NYSC portal at http://portal.nysc.org.ng.
Select the ‘Login here’ icon (https://portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc2/ResumePayment.aspx)
Login with your registered email and password.
Click on the ‘Print Call Up Letter’ link to access and print your call-up letter.
However, 2020 Batch ‘B’ PCMs are encouraged as a matter of priority to be immunized against cerebrospinal meningitis before reporting to camp.
