Prosperity Cup 2026: Mini FC Crowned Brass LGA Champions

…As LGA Finals Climax In Yenagoa LGA

‎Mini FC of Minibie have been crowned champions of Brass Local Government Area in Nigeria’s biggest grassroots football fiesta, the Bayelsa Governor’s Football Tournament, tagged the Prosperity Cup.

‎The Sangana centre winners pipped Igoni FC of Odioma by a lone goal to become Brass LGA champions courtesy of Provide Morris’ 56th minute strike to give the Minibie side the deserved victory.

‎Champions, Mini FC are the latest team to join Okoroma United, Movers FC of Otuasega, Kolobiriowei FC of Bolou Orua, Osunmabio FC, Odi United and NDU Oilers FC to win their respective LGA’s as the Round of 32 approaches.

‎Brass LGA champions, Mini FC received ₦1,000,000 for winning the LGA championship while runners-up Ogoni FC got ₦500,000.

‎An elated coach of Mini FC, Messiah Benson in his post-match reaction, said the triumph means a lot to the people of Akassa kingdom, maintaining that the victory reflects the bundle of talents across local communities in the State.

‎With the Round of 32 around the corner, coach Benson believes that his team have what it takes to win the tournament, describing their victory as soul-lifting.

‎Also, Igoni FC coach, Alexis Orumiegha noted that his team did not come to the party, maintaining that the approach of his side in the game was not what he expected from the lads.

‎He asserted that the team will improve with the inclusion of the new players ahead of the Round of 32, pointing out that Igoni FC will be the team to beat in the next round.

‎The last finals for this LGA will come up on Sunday 19th April, 2026 at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa between Bayelsa United Feeders and Brazil FC at 1.00pm.
