The immediate past member of the House of Representatives for Kabba-Bunu/ Ijumu Federal Constituency of Kogi State, Hon. Tajudeen Yusuf, popularly known as Teejay Yusuf has expressed gratitude to the people of the constituency for giving him the rare privilege of representing them at the House of Representatives for a record three times.
He also appreciated their prayers and support, which led to the massive success of his journey as their representative for 12 years along with the plethora of milestones recorded within the period.
NOTE OF GRATITUDE
With profound gratitude to God Almighty for His abiding grace and mercy, permit me to respectfully use this medium to express my sincere gratitude to the good people of Kabba-Bunu/ Ijumu Federal Constituency, Kogi West, Kogi state and Nigerians in general for their love, prayers, and support all these years.
Indeed, I am most grateful to my constituents for entrusting their electoral franchise in me from 2011-2023. I am humbled for this unique and pace-setting gesture that has made me the “very first” to have the rare privilege of representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency three times consecutively at the House of Representatives. I am eternally grateful that not minding my human imperfections, the good people of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, in twelve years stood by me in the discharge of my responsibilities as their servant in Nigeria’s “Green Chamber.” Happily, through your unflinching support and untiring prayers, I did not only complete my tenure at the House of Representatives, and National Assembly successfully without blemish but was able to offer responsible, responsive, and resourceful representation.
I sincerely use this occasion to express my utmost appreciation to Traditional and Spiritual Leaders; Elders and Leaders; Communities Associations and Groups; Youth and Students Groups; Women and Trade Groups; different and varied Groups and Associations; the Media and Civil Society Organisations; and numerous others for your respective support, counsel, constructive criticism, good thoughts, and understanding. May God bless you all!
No doubt, your love, prayers and encouragement contributed immensely to the realization of my unwavering passion, unrestrained desire and unapologetic commitment to the growth and development of our dear federal constituency. With every sense of modesty, I was able to record meaningful achievements and cover reasonable mileage in terms of deliverables. To the glory of God with the prayers and support of progressive like-minded people from within and without Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency between June 2011 and June 2023, one was able to impact on our communities and constituents through different projects, programmes, and initiatives in Education, Roads, Water, Health, Power, Employment, Empowerment, and other sectors.
I wish to also use this opportunity to thank everyone who supported my bid to emerge as the Senator for Kogi West at the February 2023 general elections. Though not successful; because God wanted it so for reasons unknown but the continued show of love, support, and encouragement extended to me by people from different political parties, diverse tribal and ethnic background, and different religious beliefs from within and without Kogi West has been a humbling and inspiring experience.
From the depth of my heart I say a massive Thank You Today and Always. Given my passion for personal and communal development, I promise to continually rededicate myself to the economic growth, political advancement, institutional and infrastructural development of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, Kogi West, and Kogi state in general.
