Defence Health Maintenance Holds 3-Day Annual Performance Conference in Abuja

Performance appraisal allows an organization to provide positive feedback as well as identifying areas for improvement by approaching management and stakeholders for discussions, identify problems, clarify expectations and plan for the future. It lets both manager and employee set up long- and short-term goals.

Sequel to the above, the MD/CEO of the Defence Health Maintenance Limited, Surg Cdre A A Abdulai (Rtd) has put in place 3 days Annual Performance Review conference aimed to analyze current framework and to lay new directions in order to promote an efficient, effective and comprehensive free and quality healthcare services to the officers and men of the Armed forces (serving and retired) and their families.

The conference will begin on Monday 9th to Wednesday 11th December 2019 at the Defence Health Maintenance headquarter situated in Adesoji Aderemi Street, Off Samuel Jereton, Mariere Road, Gudu District, Abuja.

Defence Health Maintenance Limited (DHML) is a corporate entity owned by the Ministry of Defence and the Nigerian Armed Forces as Health Maintenance Organization (HMO).

It was established in response to the challenges of providing access to quality healthcare services for all eligible military personnel (serving and retired) and their families and recently has also involved in catering for the formal and informal sector to achieved universal healthcare coverage.

Defence Health Maintenance Limited -DHML was accredited with Health Maintenance Organization HMO code in 2006 by the National Health Insurance Scheme [NHIS] to complement other sources of financing health care.

Defence Health Maintenance Limited currently operates about 159 primary healthcare providers; about 2000 civilian primary healthcare providers and about 157 secondary/tertiary healthcare providers spread across the country and has twenty-two (22) state offices located across the federation and its head office in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
