Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje has approved the appointment of members of Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) giants, Kano Pillars football club’s continental committee.
In a statement on Wednesday by Pillars’ media officer, Idris Malikawa, which was seen by AllNews, the committee has the state Deputy Governor Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna as chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima Vice Chairman while Chairman Kano Pillars, Alhaji Surajo Shaaibu Jambul, Alhaji Habibu Dukawa, the state commissioner of youths and sports, Comrade Kabiru Ado Lakwaya as well as Chairman Committee on Sports in the state Assembly Alhaji Nura Alassan Rano as Members.
Other members of the committee are Hajiya Surayya Aminu Sai Mama, Special Adviser, and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on sports Matters Alhaji Kabiru Baita and Alhaji Ibrahim Mu’azzam Marafa while chairman Kano state football Association Alhaji Sharif Rabi’u Inuwa Ahlan is to serve as Coordinator.
Permanent Secretary in the state ministry of youths and sports and Secretary Kano Pillars, Alhaji Ibrahim Ahmad Sagagi, and Sayyadi Abdullahi will run the affairs of the Committee Secretariat.
The committee is responsible for overseeing how the Sai Masu Gida would participate in the 2020/2021 CAF Confederation Cup.
According to Malikawa, the committee has swung into action with an inaugural meeting on Wednesday where issues on how best to discharge their assignment were discussed.
