Ambode, Akande to Lead Tinubu Re-Election Campaign With Massive Mobilization

Political bigwigs in the South West as set to massively mobilize for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu as a former declaration and mobilization is set to hold on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, in Osun State.

Leading the campaign are former governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, and the pioneer National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Bisi Akande, who have been announced as leaders of the re-election campaign of Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Expected at the declaration and mobilization include, all governors of South West elected under the platform of APC, Ministers of Federal Republic from the South West, National Secretary of APC, Sen. Ajibola Bashiru and other notable officials of the party.

A release signed by the Director General of Tinubu-Ambo Support Group, Dr. Seyi Bamigbade said the choice of Ambode and Akande to lead the re-election efforts reflects the President’s commitment to strengthening internal party unity and rewarding loyalty across the South-West. The event will also serve as a rallying point for renewed political mobilization in the region.

Supporters of the President highlighted his landmark achievements across the South-West, including massive federal infrastructural projects, expansion of social investment programmes, improvements in electricity distribution, and ongoing road and rail network upgrades that have boosted commerce and regional integration.

Speaking ahead of the declaration and Mobilization, APC stakeholders in Southwest and beyond reiterated their call for the return of Ambode as governor in 2027, praising his first-term record of infrastructural renewal, effective transport reforms, and creation of a more business-friendly environment in Nigeria’s economic capital.

They stressed that his leadership in the re-election campaign is not only a testament to his loyalty to President Tinubu but also a strong signal that his comeback bid enjoys the blessing of the party hierarchy.

Political analysts say the Osun gathering will mark the beginning of a robust grassroots mobilization drive across the South-West, with Ambode and Akande expected to galvanize traditional, religious, and youth constituencies to ensure overwhelming support for President Tinubu’s second term bid.
