The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Kogi State Governor on Land Use and Development, Hon. Richard Otitoleke has commended governor Yahaya Bello on the approval of disbursement of N497 million for the payment of the 2023 WAEC examination fees for students enrolled in the state’s public schools.
He made this commendation on Sunday when he played host to the leadership of the National Association of Okun Students in Lokoja.
He said Governor Yahaya Bello has consistently demonstrated that he is education-friendly and cares about the future of youths of Kogi.
Hon. Otitoleke while urging the benefitting schools and the students to justify the huge investment being made by the state government in education by putting up excellent performance.
While thanking the umbrella body of Okun students for finding time to pay him a courtesy visit after him appointment as the governor’s aide, he urged them to remain good ambassadors of Okun land and Kogi State in general by shunning social vices that may be inimical to their future.
He also urged the students to vote massively for the governorship candidate of APC in the Nov. 11 election, Alhaji Usman Ododo for continuity of the people-oriented policies embarked upon by Gov. Bello.
“A vote for Ododo is a vote for the security of your future and generations yet unborn”, he remarked.
He charged them to tell their friends and family members to support the emergence of Ododo as the next governor of Kogi, noting that it would usher in more prosperity and progress for all Kogites.
