APC Young Professionals Council urges President Tinubu to prevent labour Strike

The APC Young Professionals Council has called on President Bola Tinubu to do everything needful and attend to the plight of the labour to avoid the indefinite strike threatened by the NLC and TUC.

In a statement signed by the group Director-General, Fatai Abiodun and signed by the Publicity Secretary, Simon Bako, the council urged Mr President and all stakeholders involved to do the needful and noted that the country’s economy would be worse if the federal government allow the labour to proceed on the planned industrial court.

While acknowledging the plight of the Labour on the planned strike, the effect of the strike could lead to EndSars version 2 and it would be detrimental to the security situation of this country. The recent 2-day warning strike embarked upon by the NLC and its affiliates caused many untold hardships to Nigeria and Nigerians.

The Council Director General urged President Tinubu to use the avenue of the planned Independence Day broadcast to announce a favourable take-home pay for the workers that would reflect the current realities and economic situation and urged the labour to reason along with the president for the greater good of all.

The APC- Young Professionals Council, as a party’s support group founded solely to help strengthen the party and government policy by providing professional solutions to the challenges facing the nation and to promote the renewed hope agenda of the Party and Mr. President, His Excellency Bola Tinubu.
