SDP Reps Candidate, Hon. Nwaokike Congratulates Abia Governor-Elect Alex Otti On Victory

The candidate of Social Democratic Party, SDP for Isialangwa North/South Federal Constituency of Abia State in the just concluded National Assembly election, Hon. Nkwachukwukwere Stanley Nwaokike has congratulated a former bank chief executive, Dr. Alex Otti of the Labour Party (LP) on his victory as governor-elect of Abia State arising from the March 18 governorship election in the state.

Hon. Nwaokike who contested for the Reps seat in 2015 on the platform of APGA, same time Otti was the party’s governorship candidate expressed hope that the victory will usher a new dawn in Abia, urging the people of the state to join forces with the incoming governor to rebuild the state for the overall good of the people.

In a goodwill message on Friday, Hon. Nwaokike called on the political class to put politics behind and make meaningful contribution in raising the bar of development in Abia and South East in general.

He said, “The people of Abia state have spoken with their votes and as such, regardless of party affiliation we must all rally support for the Governor-elect.

“I am optimistic that Dr. Otti judging by his antecedents as a private sector player will bring to bear his administrative acumen in piloting the affairs of Abia State.

“There is no doubt he was prepared for the job for which he has been recruited, having contested three consecutive times”, he said.

He therefore, advised the governor-elect to shun those he called political hawks and praise singers who would try to cluster around him to shift his attention from fulfilling his promises to the people of Abia State.

Hon. Nwaokike noted that his victory is one best event in the last 24 years of Abia’s political quest for liberation, advising that Dr. Otti should learn from the abysmal failure that characterized the outgoing PDP administration and avoid same for posterity sake.
