Auwal Dankode, an employee of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO), found and returned $10,000 in an aircraft at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano. Dankode came across $10,000 (approximately ₦16m) while carrying out his cleaning duties, as a Cabin Cleaner, on the aircraft.

A security analyst and expert in counter-insurgency, Zagazola Makaman, also mentioned in a post on Wednesday on the X platform that Dankode, upon finding the money, immediately notified the airline company’s manager, commencing efforts to locate the rightful owner.
Dankode, hailing from Kode in Kano State, is well-known for his deep reverence for God and steadfast honesty, as mentioned by Zagazola.
Zagazola further stated that Dankode’s altruistic gesture has emphasized the significance of integrity and responsibility in the workplace.
Moreover, as the search continues to ascertain the rightful owner of the misplaced money, Zagazola pointed out that Dankode’s conduct stands as a compelling illustration of the beneficial effect that even minor acts of kindness can bring about.
