Sen. Izunaso, Minister of Information, DG NILDS, Others Set For NIPR-FCT Conference

As part of its contributions to nation-building, the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, FCT Chapter has concluded arrangements to host its 2023 Annual Conference aimed at bridging the communication gap between the government and the citizens.

The conference which will be chaired by the Senator representing Imo West and the Chairman, Senate committee on Capital Market, Sen. Osita Izunaso will have the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mr. Mohammed Idris Malagi as the Special Guest of Honour.

A release signed by the Chairman of the Conference Planning Committee, Mr. Stanley Ogadigo also named the Director General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS) as the Keynote Speaker and the Institute’s President and Chairman of Governing Council, Dr. Ike Neliaku as the Chief Host.

With the theme, “Reassessing Government-Citizens Engagement in Nigeria for Economic Development”, the FCT Chapter of the Institute led by Mrs. Maryam Sanusi has demonstrated firm commitment to the course of national development in line with the Chapter’s tradition.

“The FCT Chapter over the years, has dedicated its annual conferences to finding solutions to critical issues of national importance as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to our nation”, the release added.

Scheduled to take place tomorrow, Tuesday, 21st November, 2023 at the Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja at 10:00 a.m., the event will further highlight the need for mutually beneficial relationship between the government and citizens required for enhanced economic growth and development in the country.

Expected at the event are: top government functionaries, captains of industry from the business community, members of the diplomatic circle, the academia, women groups, youth bodies and other stakeholders in the Nigeria project.
