A sonnet

Stars shinning brighter above Prince & Princess
A gentle soul adding her lights
Approaching the heavens in quicksteps
No more TV news of terror, global wars & fights
Her legacy of justice and honor strong,
Her life in service to the rule of law,
Her keen mind lent to justice all along,
And with her wit unflinchingness to saw.
With robes adorned, she graced the hallowed halls,
And dispensed judgment fair and firm in hand,
Her wisdom guiding all those courtly calls,
As judge and legal bright, her duty grand.
Though now gone
Her memory still lingers,
Her work inspiring those to follow on,
And as the law still echoes with her words,
We know her beacon’s light has marched beyond.
So let us honor the late Justice Agbakoba Edith’s grace,
Remembering her kindness to each case.
