As the Muslim faithful across the globe mark the Eid-el-Kabir celebration, the Professional Council of the All Progressives Congress has congratulated Nigerian Muslims home and abroad on this year’s celebration, urged them to intensify prayers and support for unity and peace in the country.
In a congratulatory message signed by the Council Director-General, Dr. Seyi Bamgbade, and released by the National Publicity Secretary, Fatai Abiodun, the council urged the Muslimah to utilize the essence of Eid-el-Kabir celebration to exemplify the virtues of piety, honesty, charity, and generosity in accordance to the life of Prophet Ibrahim and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).
Dr. Bamgbade said the current spate of insecurity in parts of the country calls for urgent prayers and support for the security agencies to successfully tackle the security challenges facing us as a nation.
While enjoining Nigerians to support the effort of President Muhammadu Buhari on his fight against insurgency, the Council urged Nigerians irrespective of their ethnic and religious belief to continue to live in unity and peace with one another.
