Manchester United’s board has finally decided to sack manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, according to the Manchester Evening News.
The newspaper also reports that Leicester City boss, Brendan Rodgers will be taking over at Old Trafford once Solskjaer is shown the exit door.
Solskjaer’s stay at Old Trafford will not go beyond this season, according to the report.
The Norwegian has some herculean tasks ahead, which include Saturday’s clash against Watford, a meeting with Villarreal in Spain in the Champions League and Premier League clashes with Chelsea and Arsenal.

Rodgers’ playing style is said to have impressed the United hierarchy, with his promotion of youth and ability to work on a budget.
United would have to pay a compensation fee to Leicester should they wish to hire Rodgers, who is contracted to the Foxes until 2023.
The club would also have to pay Solskjaer around £4.5m, meaning the decision could prove costly for the Red Devils.
United are, therefore, minded to wait until the end of the campaign to see if Solskjaer can improve results, before taking stock of the situation in the summer
