The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II has announced that he alongside his wife, Silekunola Naomi have welcomed a son in the early hours of Wednesday, November 18.
Oba Ogunwusi made the announcement on his twitter handle, stating that the mother and child were doing fine.
The renowned monarch wrote “To God be the glory great things he has done. Hearty congratulations to the entire House of Oduduwa and Olori Silekunola who today birthed a Prince to the Royal throne of Oduduwa. Mother and child are doing well to the glory of God Almighty.

The Prince’s arrival is coming weeks after rumours made rounds that Silekunola welcomed a son.
Equity News recalls that the monarch had also vowed that his son would be named after the 49th King of the town, Oba Adesoji Tadenikawo Aderemi.
He said this while speaking at the 40 years remembrance programme of Oba Aderemi, which was held at his Ile Oduduwa Palace earlier this year.
