he Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has inducted 515 new members into the Institute in the first quarter of 2025.
While performing the rites of induction on Friday at Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), President, Chairman of Council of NIPR, Dr. Ike Neliaku, said that no nation develops without significant contributions from the professional sector of the society.
He stated that the Institute is conciously working towards grooming effective communicators that will help to enlarge the horizon of qualitative leadership at various levels, urging the new members to be development advocates, patriotic nation builders, and Ambassadors of good governance.
“You are today recruited into the place of next generation of credible leaders for this nation; that is why we are establishing the University of Public Relations and Leadership (UPRL), because we believe you cannot be a successful leader if you are not an effective communicator. Public relations is very critical to leadership and only effective communicators influence development”, he stated.
