Eid-El-Fitr: Igbalaye Urges Muslims to Uphold Ramadan Values Beyond Eid-El-Fitr

●Encourages Lasting Change Through Compassion, Generosity, and Self-Discipline

The Secretary to the Osun State Government, High Chief Teslim Igbalaye, has congratulated Muslim faithful in Osun State and across Nigeria on the successful completion of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

In a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Kehinde Adeoye, Hon. Igbalaye expressed his joy at the occasion, emphasizing the significance of Eid-El-Fitr as a time of spiritual renewal and reflection.

“Today, I join millions around the world in wishing all Muslims in Osun State and Nigeria a joyful Eid-El-Fitr. This celebration is truly special, marking the end of a month of spiritual renewal through fasting, prayers, and other religious practices over the past 29 days,” he stated.

The osun SSG further encouraged Muslims to ensure that the positive changes they embraced during Ramadan continue to influence their lives beyond the month of fasting.

“As we celebrate, I encourage us all not to let the prayers and fasting of this Holy Month go in vain. Let the lessons we have learned continue to shape our actions, words, and interactions with others,” he added.

He also stressed the importance of making the virtues of Ramadan, such as compassion, generosity, and self-discipline, a permanent part of one’s life, long after the month has ended.

“The goodness we cultivate during Ramadan should not be confined to just this time. It is essential that we carry these values forward, making them a part of our everyday lives,” he concluded.
