Registered foundation members of All Progressives Congress in Yagba land has sent strong warning to the Member Representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in Lagos State, Hon James Faleke to stop fueling political crisis in Kogi West especially, Yagba land in the name of a failed 2027 gubernatorial ambition. The group which made the statement in reaction to a purported decamping of some failed, expired and rejected politicians from Yagba Federal Constituency which happened at the residence of Hon Abiodun FALEKE.
In a press release made available to press in Lokoja, the group under the Chairmanship of Otunba Agbana Abidemi Joseph, the group says the action of those claiming to be decamping and those receiving them is a political insult and affront on the constituted authority of the party in the ward, LGA, Senatorial zones and the state. Stating that such a political suicide is an invitation to anarchy by those people who should know better.
Otunba Abidemi Agbana further said that Hon T.J Faniyi, Cmdr Folusho, Engr Olomo and others who went on a journey to Abuja before they could decamp should know that their actions shows clearly that they are coming in to the APC to cause chaos and nothing more. He emphasized that no reasonable politician would jump layers of leadership as constituted and travel to meet a man who doesn’t represent their ward, LGA and even state to claim they are decamping to the party. He said after they have grounded their parties and wrecked their political fortunes, they have now come to destroy the APC the way they did in their party. He assured them that they would not be allowed and promising that Yagba youth will resist them with all energy except they retrace their steps back and follow the right process.
The Youth group also accused Hon Abiodun Faleke of planning to fuel insurrection within the party in Kogo state. Otunba Agbana said FALEKE who is representing a federal constituency in Lagos is playing politics that would destroy the chances of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in Kogi. He said FALEKE is being rumored to be sponsoring people across Kogi West and East to form a parallel party leadership in the state. The group accused the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the Party, Hon Duro Meseko of attempting to serve two masters and sharing his loyalty between Kogi and Lagos when he is actually supposed to be representing Kogi state at the national secretary. The group warned him to desist from the wicked plan they are planning or have the people to face.
The group further called on President Bola Tinubu to call FALEKE to order or risk the support of Kogi people in 2026. Otunba Agbana accused Hon FALEKE of name dropping, insisting that he is using Asiwaju’s name for the wrong reasons in Kogi and such would be counterproductive if the President does not call him to order immediately
