IWD: Lagos WL Of The Mandate Movement, Akindele Opeyemi Salutes Women

The Lagos Women Leader (WL) of The Mandate Movement, Akindele Adunni Opeyemi has congratulated Nigerian women as the world celebrates this year’s International Women’s Day (IWD), Friday March 8, 2024.

She commended the women for their resilience and devotion to duty, not only at the home front but also in the workplace and society at large.

Akindele Opeyemi described Nigerian women as epitome of grace, knowledge, beauty and strength, who have achieved so much in different areas of life, globally, adding that the country, and indeed the world, owe them a debt of gratitude for their contributions towards ensuring global economic, social and political development.

She further applauded the national leader of The Mandate Movement, Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku, popularly known as Baba Eto for fostering the inclusion in the leadership structure of the Movement.

She therefore called for renewed approach to end violence and harmful cultural practices against women.
