The leadership of APC Professionals Council says Ondo State is safe under the leadership of governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa who succeeds the immediate past governor, Rotimi Akeredolu after he passed away Dec. 26, 2023 in Germany.
The council says Aiyedatiwa is a thoroughbred leader who has succeeded in private sector, bringing his experience to bear in the leadership of Ondo as the deputy to late Akeredolu.
In a statement jointly signed by the council’s Director General Seyi Bamigbade and the secretary in South West, Hon. Olokuntoye Olalekan Bobby, it urged the people of Ondo to support the governor to carry on with the programmes and policies of his predecessor to make the sunshine state the envy of others.
The council noted that Gov. Aiyedatiwa enjoyed a cordial working relationship with his former boss who even predicted that he (Aiyedatiwa) will carry on from where he would stop.
According to the statement, “Our council is happy with the cooperation His Excellency governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa is receiving from the state House of Assembly in his drive to successfully complete the mandate of his predecessor.
“Interestingly, the governor is no stranger to the agenda of accelerated infrastructural and human capital development which the former governor held so dear.
“He is a long-standing member of our great party who understands our ideals and policies. We have not doubt that he would justify the confidence of his predecessor who graciously picked him as a running mate.
“It is our hope that under him, the sunshine state will blossom even brighter and greater”.
