The founder Ayisat Gbajabiamila Foundation has been honoured with Award of Excellence on Political Development at the just concluded Greater Lagos Summit and Awards.
The award ceremony organized by Greater Lagos Initiative was in recognition of her pedigree and sterling achievements and in appreciation of her exemplary qualities and valuable contributions to the development of Lagos State and Nigeria.
With the theme: Renewed Hope for A-Greater Lagos Rising and The Need for Societal Collaboration, the award took place at Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja Lagos.
Also honoured was Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu who bagged the Most Oustanding Governor of the Year Award.
Greater Lagos Summit and Awards was hosted to achieve highly productive discourse between the government and key stakeholders across the State, to foster a collaborative approach to achieve more monumental progress in Lagos State.
The programme also served opportunity to launch synergy for a social intervention programme tagged “Lagos Peoples’ Project” which focused on the empowerment of 2000 Lagosians with skills that will enhance their living through public-private sector approach.
The award convener Adeniyi Olutimehin while speaking at the event said the unveiling of “Lagos Peoples’ Project” is a great medium to help focus citizens to do exploits in entrepreneurship, sport, music, fashion, movie, real estate, agriculture and others, making the programme a unique and phenomena.
Ayisat Gbajabiamila a renowned medical expert expressed gratitude to the organisers of the award for recognizing her modest contributions towards the development of Lagos State.
She pledged readiness to continue doing her utmost best for the development of the state.
