In a resounding show of support, the PDP Governors’ Forum, led by H.E. Senator Bala A. Mohammed, CON, the Governor of Bauchi State, extended a heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, on securing a triumphant re-election as the Governor of Bayelsa State.
The Forum attributes Governor Diri’s victory to his exemplary stewardship during his initial term, emphasizing that the people’s mandate was earned through dedicated service. The hard-fought and well-deserved triumph signifies a validation of the Governor’s commitment to good governance, marked by a culture of peaceful coexistence, unity, and a progressive, people-oriented agenda.
In a statement signed by Hon. CID Maduabum, LLM, Director General, PDP-GF, added that Governor Diri deserved the accolade from the PDP-GF for his fair-minded approach and equitable distribution of infrastructural projects across all sections of the State in his first term.
While highlighting Governors Diri peace initiatives, implemented immediately upon assuming office in 2019, the forum noted that this has been instrumental in creating an enabling environment for a successful implementation of various developmental projects and programs.
Confident in Governor Diri’s ability to continue delivering transformative democracy to the State, the Forum applauded the indigenes and residents who reaffirmed their choice by voting for him once again.
The PDP-GF expresses appreciation to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for upholding the integrity of the election through the effective utilization of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), instilling public confidence in the electoral process.
Urging Governor Diri to maintain his magnanimity in victory, the Forum extended its heartfelt thanks to all PDP Governors for their massive support, both before and on the election day. Notably, the Forum’s physical presence in the State, led by Governor Kefas Agbu of Taraba State and other distinguished Governors, exemplified solidarity and underscored the collective support for Governor Diri.
Furthermore, the Forum acknowledged and appreciated the great people of Bayelsa State for actively shaping their destiny through unwavering support for their beloved son during the election.
