The Concerned Ekiti Peoples’ Conscience (CEPC) has hailed the Ekiti State High Court over its order to the Ekiti State House of Assembly, the Clerk of the Ekiti and Hon. Bunmi Adelugba to file their defense over the case brought before the court by the duly elected and authentic speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Gboyega Aribisogan.
The group,in a statement made available at a media brief in Ado- Ekiti through the Convener Boboye Afuye said that the determination of the Lordship to give a speedy hearing on the matter has one again confirmed the long age tradition and believe that justice delayed is justice denied and that the Judiciary is the last hope of the common man.
“We are confident that Justice will be done.
“We salute and commend the embattled speaker for his maturity, doggedness and peaceful disposition in the face of the unwarranted attacks, assault, intimidation and threats to Democracy.
“We call on the United State of America, the United Kingdom and other International communities to as a matter of urgency withdraw the Visa and Issue a Visa Ban on Hon. Bunmi Adelugba, and all those who participated in the purported impeachment of the duly elected Speaker to serve as deterrent to others” the group added.
