Front line support groups of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress, The Emilokan BAT Ambassadors and APC Professional Council have pledged to continue making education more accessible to Nigerian youths irrespective of their financial status upon the election of Tinubu as the country’s president.
Leaders of the groups said the Asiwaju presidency will eliminate economic barriers against Nigeria’s young population with regards to accessing quality education.
Speaking at the weekend in Lagos shortly after the screening exercise for shortlisted candidates for the tuition fee scholarship of the groups, the convener of the Emilokan BAT Ambassadors, Amb.Frank Albert Jr. described the scholarship programme as a means to assist Nigeria youths into higher institution and also promote the progressive agenda and campaign of APC
He said the groups tactically decided to invest in the education of Nigerian youths, different from the culture where some political groups share food items, noting that investment in the future is more beneficial and lasting.
In his remarks, the National Director General of APC Professionals Council, Amb. Seyi Bamigbade said Nigerian youths have a lot to gain under the Tinubu presidency, urging them to go and collect their PVCs to vote for APC across board in the coming elections.
He said, “We found it necessary to think outside the box to come up with programmes that will not only proffer solutions during the campaign but also after the campaign period.
“That was why we decided to come with this scholarship programme which is also part of the progressive motives of our principal Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in making eduction accessible and affordable for Nigerian youths under his leadership.
“It is really a great joy for us to see smiles in the faces of the beneficiaries and their parent” he said.
Amb.Frank Albert, speaking further expressed gratitude for the support of the Oshodi TVET centre under the distinguish leadership of Otunba Kehinde Oloyede Kendoo, the executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo LG for his commitment towards the advancement of youths programmes in Oshodi.
He said Kendoo Oloyede, a worthy ambassador of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and campaigner of Asiwaju Tinubu 2023 presidential victory has been a great source of inspiration and encouragement.
Over 1000 beneficiaries emerged from the scholarship in Oshodi, Isolo, Ejigbo, Surulere, Lagos Island, Badagry, Ojokoro, Ifako Ijaiye, Alimosho, Onigbongbo Ajeromi, Ibeju Lekki, Ajegunle, Festac, mile2 and others.
The second batch of the exercise is expected to be announced soon.
