The leadership of APC Professionals Council has congratulated Nigerians as the world ushers in the new year 2023, saying it is opportunity for the country to stand with good governance.
The Council expressed optimism that the new year will bring so much hope and potentials for individual Nigerians and the nation at large, adding that it will unveil a new chapter in the country’s political firmament.
In his new year goodwill message, the National Director General of the Council, Amb. Seyi Bamigbade applauded the resilience and commitment of Nigerians towards national peace and unity irrespective of few dissenting voices.
He said God has ordained Nigeria as one indivisible entity whose strengths lies in its togetherness, urging all and sundry to join hands to entrench a more egalitarian nation.
While admitting that Nigeria as a country has not been immuned from some of the global challenges, including inflation, economic concerns and others, he expressed hope that 2023 will be fundamental in driving prosperity and economic inclusion.
“The year 2023 without any shadow of doubt will bring loads of prosperity to our country in individual and collective basis. We have collectively surmounted our challenges and still surges on like a giant we are.
“Interestingly, this year will have our country take a major political decision which will usher in a new government at national level and some federating units.
“It is my appeal that we join hands in supporting the APC to continue in its sound leadership trajectory for the overall interest of our country. Support for an APC presidency is a nod for improved living standard for our people and waxing economic growth” he said.
While appealing to those who have not collected their PVCs to do so, Amb. Bamigbade used the opportunity of his new year message to appeal to political actors to shun any temptation to over-heat the polity.
