Members of APC Professionals Council, Rivers State chapter at the weekend held a one-day summit/press conference where they announced their support for the presidential candidate of APC, Bola Tinubu, his running mate Sen. Kashim Shettima and others seeking elections in 2023 on the platform of APC.
The summit which took place at Port Harcourt City Local Government area, inside St. Paul Cathedral Hall was in collaboration with Rivers State Non Indigenous Group for Asiwaju (RISNIGA).
The summit also pledged support for the governorship candidate of APC in Rivers State, Tonye Cole, his running mate, Innocent Barikor, all the 3 senatorial candidates of the party in the state, 13 Federal constituency candidates of the party, and all the 32 House of Assembly Candidates.
The chairman of APC Professionals Council in the state, Comrade Oluigbo Telma Chibuihe while addressing the participants urged them to mobilize people in their wards to support the Tinubu-Shettima Mandate for a greater Nigeria come 2023.
She said the party has all it takes to retain the presidency, calling for an increased effort to secure victory for the party across board.
In his comment, the Director Rivers State APC Professionals Council, Dr. Adeleke Jones Prince Adewole applauded the party faithful for coming out in their large numbers to be part of the summit.
He said his exco members have mobilised efforts for grassroot sensitisation on the need for the youths to take active part in the upcoming election.
Also, the Director General of APC Professionals Council, Hon. Seyi Bamigbade who was represented at the occasion expressed gratitude to the Rivers State chapter of the council for their consistency and commitment in ensuring that its mobilization effort is sustained.
He pledged support to the chapter even as he assured that all their efforts are properly documented and will be utilized at the right time. He called on other chapters to emulate the Rivers State in its outstanding leadership.
