The leadership of APC Professionals Council has congratulated the Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola and the Senator representing Lagos West Senatorial District, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi on their conferment of the national prestigious honour of Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) by President Muhammadu Buhari.
They were among among the 449 Nigerians and friends of Nigeria conferred with national honours by President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja on Tuesday.
In a congratulatory message on Tuesday, the National Director General of APC Professionals Council, Hon. Seyi Bamigbade said the national honours are eloquent testimonies to the fact that the two Lagos politicians have contributed in no small measure to raise the bar of effective leadership and representation.
According to Hon. Bamigbade, APC Professionals Council is proud of the duo especially by their outstanding consistency in leaving a footprint of honour in the various capacities they are currently serving the country — the Executive and Legislative arms of government.
“The conferment of national honour on the duo of the Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola and the Senator representing Lagos West Senatorial District, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola did not come to the council as a surprise.
“They have both demonstrated fineness in administrative dexterity and leadership acumen, raising the bar of democratic culture by ensuring effective service to all Nigerians. They have used the instrumentality of closeness to the government to affect the lives of our people through massive infrastructure, people-focused policies and legislative inputs that serve the good of all Nigerians.
“We at the Council congratulate them and urge them to continue being good ambassadors of our great party. What this indicates is the fact that the presidential candidate of our great party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is indeed a breeder of great men. They both have a line in the leadership mentorship of Asiwaju and we are proud of them.
“It is our hope that our dead nation will reap more from their wealth of experience when the incoming national government of APC is established after the awaiting victory of Asiwaju. Congratulations to both of them” he said.
