The Professionals Council of the All Progressives Congress has congratulated Senator Kashim Shettima as the running mate to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party flag-bearer for the 2023 general election.
In a congratulatory message signed by the Council Director-General, Dr. Seyi Bamgbade and published by the National Publicity Secretary, Fatai Abiodun painted Kashim Shettima’s emergence as timely, maintaining that his political genius and giant strides as former Governor of Borno State would be of advantage to the country at large.
While enjoining all APC party stalwarts, stakeholders, members of the Party, and Nigerians, in general, to work together to achieve the winning mandate, the council strongly posited that Shettima’s emergence at this critical political era was nothing but a perfect match.
Dr. Seyi Bamgbade expressed optimism that Kashim Shettima’s emergence does not come as a surprise because over the years he has consistently shown inspiring capability with a great mind for political and development strategies.
The council also expressed special thanks to the party’s National Chairman, Senator Abdulahi Adamu forthrightness and for placing national interest and competency beyond the mere religious script.
Fatai Abiodun added that the state governors who have raised the bar of effective governance in their domain are not doing so on the basis of their religion but on the merit of their character and competence, urged Nigerians to shun the enemy of progress as hunger knows no religion.
