“This decision was taken after very extensive consultation with stakeholders. At this juncture, we need to put the collective interests above our own, so as to enable our party leadership to manage the upcoming primaries to be as rancor-free as possible. We need to close our ranks in order not to affect the June 18 2020 governorship election. Therefore, as a loyal party man, l defer to the collective wisdom of our party leaders and the stakeholders.
“I believe very much that all powers belong to Almighty Allah and it is He who puts people in positions at every time and season as He pleases. Our time will come by the special grace of almighty Allah.
