The Youth and Student Council of the All Progressives Congress has expressed total shock over the unexpected and sudden death of its Women leader, Rt. Hon. Adetoun Adediran.
Rt. Hon. Adetoun Adediran died today at the age of 53 years after a brief illness. She served as the Deputy Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly between 1999 to 2003.
Prior to her appointment as the Women Leader of the APC Support group, she had served as Lagos Central Woman Leader of the party at the state level.
In a statement released by the National Publicity Secretary of the APC Support group, Fatai Abiodun, signed by the Director-General, Mazi Ezenwa Onyirimba, described the deceased as an astute politician, revered women leader, and technocrat, who played significant roles in the growth and development of the council, party, Lagos State and the country at large.
Mazi said the deceased would be remembered as a woman, who stood for justice, fairness and equity, adding that her death is a great loss to the council, Lagos State and APC.
The council also prayed to Allah to grant the deceased Aljanah Firdaous and to give the family she left behind the grace and fortitude to bear the inestimable loss. Amin
