The Southwest Youths and Students Council has vowed to Mobilised for All Progressives Congress (APC) to retain as ruling party comes 2023.
The group made this know through the students’ group known as #Consensus for Yoruba Students Southwest (CYSS) in a meeting on Wednesday, vowing to support in building and mobilising for APC for 2023 general elections.
The group leadership said they have liased with the Six Southwest States, local government coordinators to reiterated their commitment in supporting the ruling party in the region to retake power in all elective positions, mostly in Oyo State.
The APC National Deputy Director of Youths and Students Council, Ambassador Seyi Bamigbade, while addressing the group members in his Lagos office, stressed need for the group to unite in spirit and support in all ramifications.
According to him, their support became necessary as it is so glaring that APC’s political elected office holders are doing extremely well in terms of representation at the states and the national levels.
He said the group must have a key role to play in making sure the party’s loyalists, especially the critical stakeholders remain united and focused in terms of getting the right candidates.
“Party unity, a wholesome love for the party is what we will make sure APC supporters canvasses. We will move from place to place, meeting party’s stalwarts in the state to ensure APC is one under one purpose.
”We will widely consult, meet whoever that matters at both national and state level to make sure APC takes its right position in 2023.
”We thumped up to our APC members who won elective political positions. They are making us proud with their laudable projects across the state. We only hear of them, others don’t seem to exist.” Seyi Bamigbade said
