The All Progressives Congress, Youth and Student Council has described the defection of Her Excellency distinguish Senator Stella Odua from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the party as a welcome development.
The APC support group admired her courage to join the progressive family for the betterment of Ndi-Anambra and the South-East in general, they opined that her strategic move to the progressive family will provide the party a better chance of winning the forthcoming November gubernatorial election.
Reacting, the group in a statement signed by the group Director-General, Mazi Onyirimba on Saturday said Senator Stella Odua selfless and political contribution to the livelihood of the people of Anambra and Ndi Igbo, in general, was evidently manifested during her tenure in the Red Chamber that her defection will no doubt strengthen the chances of All Progressive Congress in Anambra State and Nigeria as a whole.
He further stated that the former Senator remains the symbol of peace and unity, with a political dynasty that cuts across all religions and different tribes.
Mazi said APC Youth and Student Council wholeheartedly welcomes senator Stella Odua to All Progressive Congress.
He said, “APC Youth and Student Council are excited at the great achievement and progress of our great party in the southeast, the people of southeast Nigeria are gradually embracing the APC party, against the conspiracy that the APC is a Fulani party, by the Poverty Degrading Party (PDP) that destroy the Nation’s economy in their sixteen (16) years in power.
“The APC Youth and Student Council will forever appreciate the leadership of Mr. President in repositioning the country and putting the nation’s economy at the map of global competitiveness, thereby attracting more foreign direct investment. Employment and opportunity for self-fulfillment and actualization of young persons are very impressive; inflation has reduced to its barest minimum through the leadership of His Excellency the executive president of the federal republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari.
