The Staff Unions of the Polytechnic Ibadan in Oyo state at its congress today have declared an indefinite strike.
VAM News learnt that the teaching and the non-teaching staff of the Polytechnic have been at loggerheads with Oyo State Government under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde over the implementation of new national minimum wage.
An insider who spoke to the journalist on the development said that the policy of Plantinum consulting firm hired by the Governor to oversee the finances of the institutions has been the cause of the strike.
