The governor State of Osun, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola has relaxed the 24-hour curfew declared last Saturday to avert breakdown of law and order. Effective from tomorrow, Thursday, October 29, the curfew will run from 8:00pm to 6:00am daily, until further notice.
Gboyega tweeted this evening on his twitter handle to announced this new development in the state. His statement reads below:
“Following the review of the security situation in the State, we’ve decided to relax the 24-hr curfew declared last Saturday to avert breakdown of law & order. Effective from tomorrow, Thursday, October 29, the curfew will run from 8:00pm to 6:00am daily, until further notice.
This means members of the public can now go about their activities between 6:00am & 8:00pm daily. Security operatives will however be on ground to enforce the new curfew directive, as part of efforts to maintain law & order across the State.
I commend citizens & residents of Osun for their understanding & cooperation in the last few days. I urge you all to continue to be peaceful and law abiding. As a govt., we will continue to make efforts to protect the lives & property of our people.”
