The President Of the Nigerian Senate, Ahmad Lawan, has announced that the defence of the 2021 budget by Ministries, Departments, and Agencies of government will commence next week Tuesday
Making this announcement on his Twitter page on Friday, Lawan revealed that the Senate will suspend its plenary session for two weeks for the budget defence.
“The Senate will from Tuesday next week commence defence of the 2021 budget estimates by Ministries, Departments and Agencies of Government and therefore will be suspending plenary for two weeks,” Lawan tweeted.
Equity News had last week reported that President Muhammadu Buhari submitted the proposed budget for 2021 to the Nigerian Senate.
Following the budget submission, Lawan promised President Buhari that the budget will be passed as before the end of 2020.
