The National Industrial court of Nigeria on Saturday has released new mobile application to ease their court proceedings. This is made known to the general public in a statement released on their social media, Equity News can confirmed.
Our correspondent gathered that this new development is in line with the vision of the President of the Industrial court, His Lordship, Hon. Justice Benedict Kanyip, PhD, FNIALS, which is to completely digitalize the judicial processes following the issuance of practice directions and guidelines for the Court sittings on the COVID-19 pandemic.
In their statement “the Hon. President has approved the release of the New Version of the NICN Mobile app with the introduction of new features that allow litigants, counsel and the general public to have unrestricted access to the Court proceedings holding via the Virtual Sittings and the recently released Practice Directions and Guidelines for Court Sittings”.

The new added features are virtual court, practice direction, causelist, judgment and ruling.
The president also reiterated the commitment of the Court towards timely and effective dispensation of Justice.
In his statement, he said ‘Everybody can now watch and connect to Court proceedings from their comfort zone. They can have unlimited access to Practice Directions and Guidelines.
The new mobile app also include how to check Causelist of all divisions, Court’s Judgments and Rulings.
